Does the wireless LAN router (access point) have an AOSS or WPS button?

  • What is WPS?

This function allows you to connect a wireless LAN router (access point) to a compatible device simply by pressing a button on the wireless LAN router (access point). If your wireless LAN router (access point) supports this function, it should have a button labeled “AOSS” or “WPS”. This allows you to connect even if you do not know the SSID or security key.

If you set up the current network using a push button on an AOSS/WPS-compatible wireless LAN router, make the printer network settings in the same way.If you want to connect by manually specifying an SSID and security key, select “No”.

  • When the wireless LAN router (access point) does not have an AOSS or WPS button

See the documentation for your wireless LAN router to confirm if it supports software push button setup. This product only supports AOSS and WPS, it does not support manufacturers' proprietary push button functions.
