Make Wi-Fi settings from the smart device.



1  Tap Connect.

The printer is connected to the same network as the wireless router that the smart device is connected to.
Wait until the next screen is displayed.

2  Enter the password, and then tap OK.

Network setup for the printer starts.

Tips

  • When you do not know the password for the wireless router

Check if the information is written on the label of the wireless router. On the label, the passowrd may be written "Encryption Key", "XXX Key", and so on. If you are using the wireless router with its default settings, the password written on the label is used. If you cannot find any information, see the documentation provided with the wireless router.

  • When the printer selection screen is displayed.

When two or more printers that can be connected are found, the printer selection screen is displayed. Select the printer that you want to connect to.

  • When the SSID list is displayed.

When you cannot specify the SSID that the smart device can connect to, the SSID selection screen is displayed. Select the SSID that you want to connect to.

  • When connecting failed.
