Making Your Own Bookmarks

Do you use a bookmarks?
Some books come with a ribbon bookmark. Or, you might find a free paper bookmark inside your book.
In this article, we'll show you three ways to customize or create your own paper bookmarks.

You will need...


  • Design paper


  • Scissors or any other cutting instrument

Before you start

  • - Make sure you have your design paper ready on your favorite type of paper.
  • - Don't forget, you can print design paper using the smartphone app "Epson Creative Print".

—Style 1—

Print your favorite design paper and stick it to your bookmark

Cut and then paste the design paper onto the bookmark that came with your book.

Punch a hole with a paper punch and thread a ribbon or a strap.

Match the colors and patterns with your book cover.

When your matching, have a little fun by trying the same pattern, different colors, or similar colors.

Print your design on slightly thick paper

By making a fold in a bookmark made from slightly thick paper and printed with your design, you can slip the folded end over the top of the page to mark your place.
Add some text or image to make it unique to you.

—Style 3—

Message card bookmark

Write a message on a bookmark and slip it into a book you're lending to a friend. This is a new take on a very old way of sending messages!

You can write a comment on a book you borrowed.
