A Handy Paper Box with Cover

I can never find anything! Have you ever wished you had a handy box for putting your stuff in?
Today, we’ll show you how to make a simple paper box with cover from just two sheets of A4 size paper.
This super handy is great for your knickknacks, as a gift box, or as a lunch box.

You will need...

  • Two sheets of A4 size design paper
  • *If you plan to put heavy things in your box, use thicker paper to increase the strength.

Before you start

  • Make sure you have your design paper ready.
  • Don’t forget, you can print design paper using the smartphone app "Epson Creative Print".
  • Create the cover the same way as the box. See the video for details on how to fold the paper.

How to

1 Fold the design paper in half.
A5 size.
2 Fold the paper in half again.
A6 size.
3 Pry open where you just folded in the previous step.
(Flip it over and do the same on the other side)
4 Fold the right side to the left.
(Flip it over and do the same on the other side)
Now make the shape of a gabled roof house.
5 Fold both sides in to the middle.
(Flip it over and do the same on the other side)
6 Fold the white square part toward the top of the gabled roof.
(Flip it over and do the same on the other side)
7 Hold the opening, pry it open with your fingers, and straighten the bottom.
8 Fold the flaps inside, and there you have it! Your box is complete!
9 Make another box in the same way. Using this box, cover the box you already made and you’ll see the flaps of each box don't overlap.
10 Hold the boxes together without too much force, pull them into shape, and your box with cover is complete!
