Simple Rosettes

Cute rosettes you can make out of paper. Try giving one to important people at a party, to your little hero, or to your family's prince or princess.

You will need...

  • Design paper printed on A4 or Letter size paper
  • Fine cord or strong thread
  • Ribbon or other decorations (according to preference)

  • Scissors
  • Glue or double-sided tape
  • Cellophane tape

Before you start

  • Make sure you have your design paper ready in advance.
  • Don’t forget, you can print design paper using the smartphone app "Epson Creative Print". If your model comes with a design paper option built in, you can print it straight from the printer.

How to

  1. Cut a piece of design paper in half lengthwise, and then fold one half into an accordion fold. Fold it in half, then in half again, and in half again, and again, folding it four times to create sixteen creases in the paper. Then, open up the paper and re-fold it into mountain and valley folds so that the direction of the creases alternates.
  1. Tie the center with a slender cord or strong thread.
  1. Attach the surfaces of the ends (the blue area shown in the picture) using double-sided tape or glue.
  1. Attach the surfaces of the opposite ends in the same way.
  1. Cut a piece of paper into the shape of a circle, and then glue it to the center. How about writing a message or adding some other decorations, too.
  1. Cut some different design paper into long, narrow strips.
  1. Attach the ends using glue.
  1. Next, attach them to the back of the rosette using tape or another method. Attach a safety pin on top to finish the job.

Of course, feel free to use ribbon or any other decorations you like.
